The Community Campus Portal and App provides a Project Management Platform for Stakeholder Partners and Social Coaches to plan, prepare and deliver Youthwise Projects (sport, art, culture and digital activities) with young people and their communities, and to map, track and measure the Impact Outputs and Outcomes in line with Youth Charter Impact Themes and the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.

A Youthwise Project Manager is currently under development, which will provide digital tools for Social Coaches and Stakeholder Partners to work together to deliver Youthwise Programmes.

To support the delivery of the Youth Charter’s National and Global #Call2Action’s, the Youth Charter has been pioneering the development of a Community Campus Portal since 2015, which has included the following versions:

  • 2015 to 2018 – this was developed as part of the Etihad & Birley Community Campus, ICZ Salford Community Campus and Heath Town Community Campus

  • 2020 to 2022 – this was developed on Wix using multiple websites for each campus

  • 2022 to 2024 – this was developed with Open Social using one website for all campuses

Following a two-year incubator project where the Birmingham Community Campus was developed as part of the legacy of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games as part of Sport England’s Active Communities Programme. The engagement and navigation experience of over 300 individuals private, public and third sector organisations have now contributed to the next phase of the Community Campuses development. As a result, a more holistic and integrated engagement and navigation experience for all stakeholders in the Community Campus eco-system has seen the overall Community Campus development to date transferred and aligned with the Youth Charter website.
